Sturrock Grindrod Maritime (Namibia) (Pty) Ltd is looking to secure a 6-month contract with a Driver to join the Walvis Bay office. This role will require the successful candidate to work night shift. All suitably qualified candidates are invited to apply for this vacancy.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The responsibilities of the successful applicant will include, but are not limited to the following:

Key performance area

• Deliveries and collection of documents / ships spares.
• Determine the urgency of delivery and collection, and action accordingly.
• Ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time.
• Communicate with office staff and customers.
• Ensure maintenance and upkeep of company vehicle (including cleaning).
• Attend Customs inspections as and when required.

MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS

Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12.
  Valid code 08 driver’s licence essential.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.

Skills and competencies

• Good English communication skills.
• Able to use initiative.
• Strong sense of responsibility.
• Good timekeeping in effecting duties.
• Willing to work night shift (including weekends, if needed).
• Able to follow instructions.
• Professional and act with integrity at all times.
• Potential for further growth and a willingness to take on additional tasks.
• Computer skills, including MS Office.
